I get ragged on for having the 2.5" one, because my friends and co-workers think I should have a bigger engine to go with all the show

That can be an aggravation too. Years ago, some guy at a gas station looked at the hood and said is that just for posing or you really got something under there? With such a big hood, there can be expectations.

I think you have that covered pretty well!

For me, a co-worker says that he is building a 1991 twin turbo 300z that has 700 rwhp. I asked for pictures, and he said that he didn't have any. I told him that I'll believe him when I see it.

Don't pay much attention to rwhp numbers...only interested in ET and trap. But building up to a useable 700 rwhp (as opposed to just a dyno queen) is a very expensive process. I am on my second built motor after first went boooooom. Replaced stock transmission with a 4r70w and then replaced that with a 2 speed GM glide. Fuel system has gone through several upgrades of course. Rearend is a 9 inch and don't forget all the safety krap like 10 point NHRA cage. Now of course...car is no longer streetable with no a/c, full spool and cams that would never survive stop and go traffic. Not sure yet just how clever or stupid this has all become. My accountant thinks I am fiscally irresponsible and my girlfriend thinks I am an idiot.
