New brakes problem
I put on new shoes onto my rear driver side with a new rotor since the last one wore down to NO pad and dug into the rotor.
When I drive about 300 feet they get not red hot but sizzeling hot. I brought water to cool them down.
If I go around the neighboor hood with constant water sprays will they wear in or is there a problem with the system? sHould I bleed the brakes to get proper pressure or what is the best way of fixing this (less going to a stealership)
Edit: maybe since I only changed the driver rear and DID NOT change the passenger rear maybe they are connected and pushing too hard. Would changing the passenger rear fix the problem?

You should have taken care of both sides, but it sounds like you have another issue that needs attention 1st.
Possible e-brake that is stuck applied, caliper that is sized, brake hose restriction, caliper slides frozen.

They were a bitch to get back on, i pounded the caliper back on the rotor with a hammer. Is it possible I didnt turn the piston back in enough (It seemd to stop turning). Im gonna keeep dribving and hope they loosen up, or else don the other side and see if it helps, are both sides connected?
This side was giving me problems hence the brake change, the caliper was dragging before hence weraring the pad down before all other 4. I think the caliper is ****ed. Are they cheap to replace?

Thrashing on a caliper with a hammer, throwing cold water on a smoking rotor.....
Just take the car to somebody with some mechanical ability before you set light to the brakes and yourself.
Well i just wish i knew the reason they are ****ed...im gonna do the otherrside and if it doesnt fix it replace the caliper. If i go to the stealership ill probly have to buy a new caliper anyway. Besides this specific caliper was giving meissues before (always stuck on... hence why it wore down before the other 4 by a long shot.
The passenger side went on lots of room so im assumning I didnt turn the piston in enough on the drivers side or the caliper is f'ed. Im going totear the drivers again tomorrow morning and see if I can turn it in more or else buy a new caliper gonna have tomis a couple hlours of work..sucks at 25.50 at19 years old aha.
