theres like 6 others I linked... lol

Also more like this :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...item2c5447a5ec

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...item255a536f2a

Granted, a few of those people have a pretty high buy it now price, so probably have a stupidly high reserve and might as well have it as a buy it now only sale, but someone is bound to have a resonable reserve.

Okay, I am not a fan of the auction system as it is, but let me check these out for you:

First Link: I've looked into that car. The guy said the lowest he will go is $15,500 because that is what he owes on it. Not a bad price, just a little higher than I was looking for to be honest. I'll keep working on this one.

Second Link: It's a Shelby GT. If I approached him with an offer of $15,000, he would laugh in my face.

Third Link: I like it, but I'd bet their reserve is out of my range. How do I approach someone with a Buy It Now price of 20k like that? I just don't even know what to ask...

Fourth Link: Wow. I would sacrifice my black leather for that car. Assuming everything checked out, but its at $15,000 with 3 days left. Chances of it even being close to $16,000 when it ends are bad. I'll keep my eye on it though. Knowing nothing about SCs, what's going on with that car? It is an automatic though...that's a big issue for me...

Fifth Link: Convertible, Red Seats, and High Reserve. Scratch that one off the list.

Sixth Link: Automatic, and given the car and what it has on it, I don't really think I'd sacrifice a manual for that. It's a nice car though.

I also found this. It's not black, but I think I could work with it...messaged the seller about working out a deal since the auction is about to end. What do you think?

EDIT: Received a message back on this blue one. Reserve was set at $16,500 but the seller said he really wanted $16,000 for it. That's not a bad price given the mods on it...

Like you did already, message the sellers. Most may want to sell it out of ebay instead of paying them a fee.

I love my auto GT, I wouldn't toss them aside that fast for just being an auto but whatever floats your boat.

its nice. For the ones with a reserve, I was usualy just up front with the seller, sent them a request for the reserve price through EBays Pm system. As for the blue one, looks pretty sweet. Just bit up what your comfortable with, and if it dont meet the reserve at the end, he can give you a second chance offer inside of ebay. You want to keep the whole transaction inside a trackable secure format.

alkemist, I have nothing against autos. It's just a personal preference. I like to feel like I'm in control of everything about the car.

And JD, thanks. I love the blue car. I've talked to the guy, he said the reserve is $16,500 but he really wants $16,000. I still have reservations about just purchasing a car over Ebay without ever seeing it...is there a way I can send it back and just pay the shipping? Like, does Ebay offer anything like that? Does anyone know a forum member near Brooklyn, New York? A wouldn't mind having a reputable forum member check the car out for me.

Damn, that's a lot to ask anyways. I wish you were closer so that you could check it out for me. I would really trust your opinion.

I'm falling in love with this car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

He has the reserve set at $16,500, and it looks to me like it's going to make it. So I guess it's now or never.

What do you guys think? Let it go? I mean it's a private seller, and I've never even seen the car...

But I do love it from what I've seen. It's completely stock under the hood but I love what he's done with the body. And I can sell the rims and use that to pay the difference in the car and what I wanted to spend...

This is tough. Opinions?

it looks sweet, sounds resonable, is bidding out, and SEEMS like Ebay has a decent protection, though I have never dealt with it personaly. It says something like, if your over 1k to repair undisclosed damages then the protection kicks in. I would read up on there protection program, but everything looks pretty good.

side exhaust usually sits really low so it might be a problem where you are at. just keep that in mind. Price seems very reasonable though
