Default How Does This Sound

I am after some Flowmaster axle backs and found the American Thunder Classic system at www.LMPerformance .com for $359 and free shipping. Does this sound like a good deal? Has anyone bought from this site before?

to be honest.....the mac flowpaths are the cheapest best sounding muffler IMO out there. and at 59 dollars per muffler.....u can make an axle back for your car ( or have a shop do it ) for under 200 dollars including the mufflers tips and connecting pipe. Only way to go imo

I had those for a while and they had so much drone I had to get rid of them. They sounded great outside the car, but at about 2000 rpms, which is where my cruising rpms were, it drove me nuts. That's a good price though. I paid 500 bucks for mine right when they first came out.

Should I get the regular American Thunder ones? Maybe those would sound more refined with less drone.

just want to point out, i just bought the pypes violator axle back kit from american muscle for $244 shipped. it sounds GREAT. def not too loud. at idle it isnt too much louder than stock, but when you punch it, it sounds awesome. and its stainless steel. the drone also isnt bad at all. there is a little bit of a drone from 1500-2000rpms, but not much at all.

I think that's a solid price for them. I have 6,000 miles on mine and have been very happy.
