Car shut off
I was driving down the highway and when I went to cross over traffic to turn, my car shut off. That could have been bad news. What could have caused that?
06 GT Auto
Running "Street" (Bama Torque Tune)
No Error Codes
Car started back up and then was running fine.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you installed your aftermarket CAI, then you should not have any problem uninstalling, cleaning, and reinstalling the MAF sensor and TB. A special aerosol cleaning spray is available for each at most auto parts stores.
I don't know what year the poster has, but I thought I remembered a TSB for this issue on earlier model S197's? Something to do with the fuel pump? I don't remember exactly, but if you search the subject, you should be able to find it. I had mine shut off shortly after I had changed the air filter, I used a Fram, which I will never do again. A "sliver" of filter media from what looked to be trimming during manufacture, had come loose and lodged in my MAF sensor? After having it towed and several hours at the dealer, the mechanic pulled the MAF sensor and showed me the "sliver" wedged in it. No more Fram anything for me.
Found the TSB, here is the link:

I don't know if this is your problem, but I thought I would throw it out there. From the TSB:
"After coming to a stop from a highway type cruise, some vehicles may experience a hesitation when the customer begins to accelerate. Air bubbles can form around the fuel pump during a long cruise and be ingested into the pump on acceleration causing a hesitation."

I also ordered a replacement C&L filter as they said it was recommended at my mileage and only $39.00. Decided not to mess with cleaning it at that price. They said people have had problems when they become too dirty.
