Default V6 / GT Brake pads

Hi,

I was wondering why the brake pads for the GT are the same as for the V6 while the brake disc is actually larger? Does that make any sense?

Common parts, lower production cost. Adequate stopping a stock vehicle with either pad. The larger rotor on GTs give better heat dissipation and a better range of stopability.
And, Ford probably realized the GTs are more likely to be driven harder and faster, and to provide additional margins of safe stopping, the GTs should have larger rotors.
