You and I think exactly alike, but it's also because I can't stand the rear end of the 2010/2011. I've tried too, but can't make myself like it.

Only once did I wish I had an auto. I was in Dallas, Tx. on I-20....5 lanes of traffic barely moving.

That was in the early 2000's (forget exactly what year). I refuse to buy an auto in a muscle car, ever. When I bought my GT I wanted a CS/GT, but the lot only had them in autos...so I choose the regular GT.

Yes, there were three on the lot here yesterday. I came close to trading. However, the auto premium had 3.15 gears. Also, I'd have to agree. I just can't get past the rear end change. Premium model sticker was $36,000

they had two base GT models with 3:55's for $30,000. Think I’ll super charge my 07 GT and maybe look at getting the 5.0 create motor down the road

As much as I hate to repeat it.... +1

That's the only killer for me to trade up to a 5.0

I'm just waiting on someone to swap a 5.0 into a 05-09 so I can get a clear picture on how much trouble it is.

Heh. heh. Just kiddin' with ya. I'm not sure whether I want to go drive one or not.

I think I'll just wait and see what '12 (BOSS) brings. Still planning on getting a 50th in '14. Maybe even a GT500. I mean, how much longer can they possibly keep building 550HP muscle cars?

I have doubts about 2014 models in terms of power, or at least a V8 option. CAFE rules are getting tougher. I don't think we'll see a GT500 like it is today in 2014. It'll have to have a smaller engine most likely and maybe turbo'd.

I'm thinking about getting a 2012 Boss 302. The weird thing is, when I see the new rear in pictures I kind of hate it. But when I see it in person I don't. I was looking at a 2011 GT/CS on Wednesday and the rear didn't actually bother me much. Sure I prefer mine still, but I hated it less than when I see pics.

The new 5.0 is cool and all, but I'm pretty happy with my 08 GT. The new Mustangs just don't offer enough to justify a $30K price tag.
