Electrical Oddities
Last week I took my car to the dealership to replace the drivers' side mirror assembly (STUPID me broke the whole thing off backing out of a driveway. Fun.) Since it was already in the shop and was due for an oil change, I had them take care of that too.
I noticed three things after I got the car back. 1. There is now an audible clicking sound coming from the passenger side floor area when I press the brake pedal. 2. The 10-min period of operational windows and clock has been significantly shortened. 3. There was a cloud of blue smoke from the tail pipe upon starting her up at the dealership. I knew it was burned oil, but after that single occurence, it stopped. Still, several previous oil changes tell me this isn't normal.
Basically I want to know if the dealership effed anything up and what can I do about it?

1. What you're hearing is more than likely part of the control circuit to the tail lamps, I can hear mine too.
2. There isn't a way to change this(very easily), so it's got to be in your head. Have you actually timed it?
3. This is somewhat normal. If you start it up and only move it a short distance quickly and shut it off(like they would after the oil change), they have a tendency to do this. Mine has done it once and I freaked out as well until the MFers put my mind at ease.

The blue smoke is normal, as bigblue95z said. It's not a great thing to see/smell, but it's the nature of the beast. One time I had the dealership diagnose a startup problem for several days, and when I started it to drive away I thought something was horribly wrong. Turns out that it was just because they have started it and stopped it several times without really letting it warm up at all.
Wow.
Maybe you will avoid the stealership
and go online for your fix it knowledge of the S197.

A rear view side mirror is not that hard to replace.
