I finally did it - My 2011 GT is on order...
So basically I graduated high school the year they did away with the fox body and 5.0 and have always told myself, "Self, if Ford ever puts out a 5.0 liter mustang again - you're going to buy one." Hot damn, I've waited 16 yeras for this damn car and I'm afraid the next couple of months are going to take for ever... I've "settled" for the following. Sterling gray with black/cashmere leather in a 5.0 GT Premium, 6 speed manual, 3.73 rear end, 401A, electronics package, rear view camera, 19" wheels, with the stripe delete option. I am active military and am walking away at $36,262 before incentives. I'm beside myself...

Sweeet... congrats!! When is the expected delivery? Is this your first performance car? Awesome choice on the color, btw.
It's interesting about how that "5.0" badge is a real important thing to folks in a very specific demographic. I'm a bit younger and grew up appreciating the 5.0 but I spent my day dreaming hours looking back at big block Mopars (that were long extinct, of course) and...once I did the math to convert those "5.0" liters into cubic inches...I wasn't too impressed.
This 5.0 sounds like a honey of an engine though...and until The General and/or Fiat develop a new motor to haul their barges around, the 5.0 is the king of the hill. This one will be a legend for sure.

Yes - my first performance car and I'm dying to put on a performance. Just trucks and SUVs in my psat but this is surely nostalgic as I instsantly think of things like hair rock and high school. don't know the build date yet but I don't get back from deployment until the 09 of August, so that's the day I get it. Thanks guys...
