Default Differences between 2010 GT & 2011 GT

Other than the obious 5.0 engine change. Are there any other changes?

The reason why I ask is because I want to start ordering some stuff for the Stang so when I pick it up I can start changing it to make it my own.

I just wanted to make sure that when I order HID's, a grille etc. that it will fit.

I apologize if there's a thread on this already...

Motor and trans are basically the only difference. Body is exactly the same. Exhaust uhh....no one's really answered that one yet. I'd assume an axle-back would be the same, but I don't know for sure.

The rear valance looks more like the GT500. We received our first 2011 today, an ordered unit. The speedo goes to 160, and the tach obviously reads higher to reflect the new redline.

Cool, thanks! I think I'll go ahead and order my Struts and Springs for now.

according to evolution performance the exhaust setup attaches differently (05-10 stuff wont work without modification) and theres a few suspension differences too

The suspension stuff is largely limited to different lower control arms and associated bits. If I understand correctly, they basically took the suspension from the version of last year's Mustang that had the best suspension - the Bullitt edition, IIRC. So there's nothing physically different in the suspension.

Interior uses new soft-touch plastics but I don't believe there are any structural changes. The gauge cluster is different due to the new speedo. The exhaust is different due to the new engine. Obviously the shifter is different. Other than that, I don't think there's much changed.

Bah! Mad Moose.....Can you send a link/info on the exhaust? I was hoping to re-use my axleback, but we didn't even have the first car long enough for me to put it in the air for a peek!

Evolution reported that with a little modification an exhaust shop will be able to get 2010 Axle backs to work on the 2011 ....
