How many miles on your car? Have you changed your spark plugs yet? Also your MAF sensor and throttle body may need to be cleaned.

A tune usually helps get rid of throttle lag

This is also said to help-

You can re calibrate the computer of your car as following. Turn on, but not start your car. Wait a minute for the dash warning lights go off. Press the gas pedal slowly until it hits the floor and then release it slowly. Turn off and then start your car. The problem will go away.

The plugs are supposed to be 100k plugs, and I just changed mine at 102k, so they're probably OK. The MAF is easy, but you need to make sure you have the correct spray for both the MAF and Throttle body. The Throttle body is about 4 bolts I think, so none of these are difficult, just make sure you have the correct spray. May want to buy a chilton's manual, that will do it.

I say change the plugs. I've got an 06 v6 with just under 46000km (about 29000miles) and I was having some lag issues as well.

I changed my plugs today to NGK platinums and the lag was gone and the car runs much better.

I had a similar problem when I did a 93 oct tune on my vehicle. I used BG44k fuel injector cleaner and it cleared right up. I then changed the plugs to Autolight HT1's and changed the fuel filter for peace of mind. Vehicle has only 12000 miles on it and carbon build up was causing the problem. I now use the fuel injector cleaner every 5 fill ups
