Another 05 Problem
Well when I first bought my automatic stang, I was extremely happy, then there came "the noise." It was a rumble beneath the center console and the parking break vibrated when it happened. Well that was fixed by having ford re adjust some heat sheilds, the exhuast pipes and ultimately ceased when the parking brake was altered.
Well now when I have my car in park and I hit the breaks, I get a clicking noise from the shifter, and the shifter makes a small movement, well my parents are flipping out that it isint safe (im 17 btw) and they want to take the car back to the dealer, in all honesty I think nothing of this small "pop" noise, but they are going nuts over how the car is built bad and blah blah and they got a "lemon"
So I ask all 2005 stang owners, have you experienced this noise/movement when you are in park and you hit the breaks, do you get it?
All help is much appreciated so I dont have to surrender my car to ford for another week.

It sounds like that when you press on the brake, it releases the shifter so you can move it into gear. There might be something in there that is either loose or binding or something. I would have it looked at before you do have any problems such as not being able to get it to go into gear. Let us know what they find out.
