had muffler deletes for a bit (straight pipe with chrome tips), then dual 3 inch exhaust cut outs (wow, talk about loud! lol) and now back to the stock mufflers. Gonna go SLP H pipe w/high flow cats, 22 inch resonators and some quiet flow mufflers this winter.. you wouldn't even know I have a supercharger under the hood.

I went through the classic straight pipe/muscle car sound, to the blarringly loud, wake the dead, "hey guys, look at me!" phase, and now to you could hear a pin drop as I drive by... I like it quiet, just as long as it's flows enough then it's all good.

Loud is bad if it rattles and pops. Quiet sucks hard for me. It's like having a limp dick...just no fun at all. Muscle cars are supposed to be loud and mean. Even though I could use some resonators to smooth it out some, Kooks + catted H + boomtubes = FTW. I still wonder what MAC axle-backs or 2 chamber flowmasters (at classic) would be like.

A while back when I put my stock mufflers on in place of my boomtubes, from the out side it sounded awesome but inside I described it as flaccid. It just didn't do it for me. It's too bad b/c from behind the car it was great.

Reasons being, - I can hear the radio, I can talk on the phone if need be, and the car feels "tighter"- not everything "banging and snorting"

I guess I am officially old- but I still have the loud and louder exhaust waiting in the rafters, so we shall see how long I will continue to be "old"....

How about you?
I have the SLP loudmouth's on my Cobra and they sound great... I can talk and listen to the radio if need be, I'd rather listen to the exhaust tone though.

I have the ROUSH extreme performance exhaust on mine and it is pretty loud from the out side, on the inside with the window ups, i can hear the radio perfectly without it having to be SUPER loud, even with the windows down it is not to bad.

I'm only half-way to a great exhaust. I've had this setup on a 2V Blown GT and it was perfect. The 3V will sound very similar. 1-chamber flows + O/R Prochamber.

Idiot (me) UPDATE

I put the frikkin FRPP Stingers back on- the stock ehaust was TOO quiet.

I gues my fickle-ness is catching up with me...

At this point- thanks to all who have posted. Very cathartic for me. In the end - I end up where I am....

22" I have never seen or hear of anyone putting that size on? Why not go with 12 or 18"?

I know with SLP LM and I assume with boomtubes that you would get trumpeting with that set-up.

lol I don't know.. just throwing it out there. I might even throw on some pypes mid-mufflers (instead of resonators) along with some quiet flow muffler axle backs. I can't help it.. I have an extreme personality, when quiet isn't enough.. I want silence. You'll understand when the only sound you hear is the loud mechanical whine of the supercharger at full WOT, and nearly no exhaust noise..
