Default Kooks longtubes Problems Already!

Ok so most of you saw my post about my kooks longtubes with catted h-pipe I installed just a week ago on my 2010 mustang. I have started to hear a rattle the last few days when I would leave for work. Its really tough to hear something because my car is so much louder now. So this morning I decided to put the car back up on the lift at work to investigate. I grabbed a rubber mallet and started to tap around and see what I could find. The noise was coming from right around the cat area so I removed both O2 sensors in the cats and managed to stick my pinkie in the sensor hole and felt that both catalyst have come loose and are rattling around in the cat. Im extremely upset over this issue and emailed maryland speed in hopes they may help me out since I just bought the longtubes a week ago. This is my daily driver and I cant leave my car down long enough to send kooks my cat sections and wait for an answer. I bought the best in hopes something like this wouldnt happen but it seems some poor workmanship went into my exhaust. Has anyone else had this issue before? I have tried searching but came up with nothing.

Wow that sucks! Sometimes you bypass quality products (PYPES LTs perhaps) because common wisdom says that the pricier/more known the product is,the better quality you will get. kooks are known for great fitment and supposedly great craftsmanship, so it is a lil odd. Maybe the cats got too banged up during shipment and something came a lose? Hope you get it resolved bud..

So glad I don't have to worry about that...

Your longtubes aren't the problem like your title implies...

I agree it's not the Lt's where the problem is it's with the catted h pipe. I have read too many horror stories about aftermarket cats being total pieces of crap. I would never run them no matter who built them. The problem is that most of this stuff is made overseas and the quality is really bad these days.

Wow that is horrible! I'm sure Kooks will do right. As for the quality of the cats does Kooks use parts made over seas? I know American Racing Headers uses 100% USA made materials.

I'm sorry to hear of your problems. I would be upset for sure. I've had mine kooks for a couple of years now with no problems. I hope you get some quick resolve with this.

Sorry I wasnt clear in the title. I did buy longtubes which included the catted h-pipe so I consider it as one mod thats why I just said longtubes. I understand the faulty part is not the actual headers from kooks but the cats from kooks.
