Detroit Rocker Cams
Over the past month I have put 2500 miles on my 2006 Mustang GT.
1 month ago I visted Brenspeed to get the Detroit Rocker Cams , 1pc Brisk Plugs Stock Heat, and 3:73 gears. My other Mods that I completed BBK UDP's,Metco 4pc Idler Pulley Kit,Steeda CMDP's,JLT CAI,SCTX3 Bren 93 oct Tune,BMR LCA's Poly Ends, and PYPES Muffler Deltes.
This is my take on the Cams great for the daily driver or the weekend driver that wants everything the stage 2 NSR Comp Cams. These Cams offer the Old Gear Head the sound He or She requires. Now I have been around for a while and the sound reminds me of Hot Rods past with that said I already had the Pypes exhaust before the Cams. If you are on a budget the H pipe with a Chambered Muffler will do fine to exploit this Cam Profile.Chandler at Brenspeed has LT Headers with the American Thunder and they sound wicked with the Detroit Rocker. I will be changing up my Exhaust bottom line.
The Gear swap to the 3:73's are a great middle of the road choice but for the straiaght line guy or gal the 4:10's are your best bet if you plan to stay N/A. The rearend well we had a concern after 3 weeks the Pinion Seal or Rearend seal drive shaft side formed a bulge.I informed Chandler and Dave at Brenspeed without hesitation they made a appointment with me and based off the info over the phone quickly ordered me a seal and crush sleeve.
1 Week later I drove to the shop and 3 hours later i was out the door. Now keep in mind the seal did not fail but based off my observations they swaped it out and handed me reciept for the work of $00.00 due. I just wanted to say Thank You to Brenspeed as they know I'm do to deploy again and they just wanted me to have 0 problems this summer and allow me to enjoy my Mustang.

That's great T. Wayne!!! I was at Brenspeed on May 5th and enjoyed their first class hospitality in the guest house and great sales and service at the shop. I had my Detroit Rockers, Steeda deletes and Steeda underdrive pullies installed (all a one day install). It was all and more than I expected...runs like a banshee and I have to learn to drive again, I can't hook well yet. My only dissapointment was that I had already made an axle back change to FRPP Stingers which sounded great until the cams. I have Macs ordered from Brenspeed and should be here Friday before I head to Dallas. I have put 3,000 miles on the cams and could not be happier. I headed South from Brenspeed to Memphis, over to Dallas and back to Kansas after the install and got 25-26 mpg hand calculated. Darned happy with that!!!! That place has a great business model that I wish I could see more of....first class parts, first class sales people, first class installers, first class programmers and first class business management where customers are first and foremost to them. No one should be skeptical of taking their families down to the tiniest baby to stay in the guest house either, it's a nice clean, modern house with a garage to park in too!
Thats awesome how they took care of ya. Are u enjoying the new power and sound. I got my H pipe ordered with the flowmasters. I cant wait for them to be installed. It will be a great day. The same day my cams and exhaust get installed I go to the bank to pay my car off. Oh yea. WEll man enjoy the car and dont forget to honk ur horn in warsaw. lol
Can never say enough about Team Brenspeed and like to give a shout out to George Brens new addition to the team. He is a drivetrain specialist and buy the sound of it the new 5.0 may have it challenges. The drive shaft and clutch may be a little weak for the Mods we are use to.So it will be nice to have another set of eye's that has racing experince on this new model.
The sound is not bad at all with the exhaust I have. At WOT I'm turning heads but in town at a idle the American Thunders or Pypes Platnium are the
way to go and I think most would agree. The Pypes at a good Accel & Cruise speed sounds like a old B 17. But I like a little drone 1 of the best instruments my ear if it skips a beat the dash will never let me know both these mufflers offer just enough to become a new tool IMO.
I gave Ma and Paw in Warsaw a little down shift fly by and a little horn to say howdey. I kept it under 200mph to be on the safe side.

Damn I am excited.... my cams go in Saturday. I have spintech exhaust which nobody knows!! Its loud as hell now, so I'm guessing it'll sound better with cams..... I hope so. LOL
Glad Brenspeed took care of you TW. You are lucky to be close enough to them to enjoy their quality of service. I know my cc would be getting worn out if I lived close to them. ......but I would be grinning huge!!

The stingers don't sound "bad", they just don't sound as good as the chambered mufflers. I put Macs on last night and it sounds better....I think. Exhaust is kind of like beauty...it's in the eye of the beholder, or ear of the beholder in this case. I will be putting my FRPP Stingers up for sale.
