Default Thinking of Selling...How much is a fair price?

Hey everyone,

Well, I think it may be time to sell my stang. I need everyone's help with what is a fair price though. I paid $25,000 and have at least another $12,000 into it maybe more. It's a 2006 GT with the premium red interior.

The car has 46,256 miles on it, kept up really well. It is ONLY driven 6 months out of the year, I live in Michigan and store it during the winter. I use the ZANIO system on it, so the finish is in great condition.

Here is what I have done to it as well as a few pictures.

Performance:

- Saleen Supercharger Stage II from Breenspeed, 7 psi putting down 415 RWHP and 415 Torque
- LCA
- Hawk HPS brake pads
- Pirelli P-zero nero tires
- Boom Tubes (not really performance, but didn't know where to put them)

Exterior:

- 18" Foose Nitrous rims chrome
- gt500 front + rear bumper
- Trufiber venom hood
- Carbon fiber chin spoiler
- Red calipers
- carbon fiber mirror inserts
- Antenna delete

Under hood:

- Carbon fiber pieces here and there

Interior:

- Avic D-3
- Carbon fiber trim pieces as seen in photos
- New red floor mats w/ shelby logo
- Billet ***** and billet piece for parking break

Here are a few pictures, they are a little dated and do not show all the interior accents and details that have since been added.

Like I said I really have no idea on where to even start for an asking price. I am hoping everyone can help me. I realize I am not going to get close to the $37k I have into it, but just trying to be fair about the price. Let me know if there are more questions. Interested to see what everyone thinks.

Thanks,

Nick

P.S. Mods, sorry if this is in the wrong place, wasn't sure where to put it as I'm just looking for help figuring out the price, not trying to sell it here in the section.

It depends on how many of the mods you are keeping on the car versus returning to stock, but I'd say you could get anywhere between $25-30g's.

That being said, its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it, you just gota find the right buyer.

If your a motivated seller i would suggest taking it to a mustang week in south carolina or any other car shows. You will have a better chance selling it there than u would on some auto mag. U'll find some kid or young adult that will get a hard on for it and hopefully get what you want out of it. Not sure what i would ask. Good luck

Well, considering you can get a relatively low mile Saleen extreme for mid 30's, it's going to be a hard sale anywhere in that range. Financially you'd probably be better off returning the engine to stock, and selling the performance parts separately. Performance parts can often turn buyers away for fear of how the car has been driven.

I'd say you're looking more at the mid to low 20's. Probably closer to low 20's. Car markets suck for sellers at the moment. I was able to buy my 06 with 4k miles for 25k.

I'd be willing to buy that supercharger from you if you sell it separately from the car.

So that's like $3.5k right there!

I would say low to mid-$20's.

I sold my old 2005 Mustang GT for $24,000 when the book value was around $18K. It had just turned 30,000 miles and included a Vortech HO S/C, brand new 20" rims/tires, GT500 front end conversion, Trufiber Venom Hood & much more. The hardest part was finding someone that had the extra cash on hand, because for those going to the bank to get a loan, they'll only get what KBB says it's worth. Fortunately for me, I found a guy in the service that had a preappoved check in hand for the amount I was asking.

well, this guy wants 33k for his v6 mustang with 63,000 miles on it. so maybe you should start it at 2 million.
