Muffler deletes and backpressure
I am in the process of swapping out my mufflers and I was curious if anyone has gone from mufflers to muffler delete pipes and if they noticed any decreased backpressure? I can definitely notice a difference with no mufflers at around 2K, I was hoping deletes would help get me some of that back.

I don't want to incite this huge beat-to-death debate, but it's my understanding that backpressure is, in essence, just a myth.
Edit: To say backpressure doesn't exist is false, I apologize. However, the common misconception that backpressure is directly related to torque and any altering of the first will result in a change of the second is where the misunderstanding is.

You mean less backpressure. Think of backpressure as a resistance to emptying the cylinders. In certain situations, it does help with cylinder scavenging on a naturally aspirated engine (relates to pressure waves). Removing the mufflers, or swapping out to muffler delete pipes with reduce backpressure slightly. The stock exhaust manifolds and cats offer plenty of resistance to flow. I was able to mess around with this on a dyno a few years ago.
On more recent and personal note, I did notice a slight increase in power without the mufflers, but it mostly changed the power band. It seems easier to rev up, but, again, only slightly.
