Dear Mauiboy,

Now you know what I was talking about...

These MACs are "T & A" for sure...

Get on it in 1st, shift into 2nd and floor it and these babies really sound so killer!!!

Glad you made the right choice...

Dear JerryP,

I've read several forum replies and talked to many vendors regarding aftermarket axleback systems...

They all say, "our mufflers do not drone", but the truth of the matter is that THEY ALL DRONE!!!

Some more than others, but they all have this one similiarity...

Choose the one you like and is within your budget and be happy...

Well I installed the Mac's last night and all I can say is Wow! what a difference in tone, now it sounds like a true V8. I'll post some pics this weekend. I agree with some previous threads though, the driver side was a pain in the *** to take off. Total time it took me 1-1/2hr
And record a sound clip while your at it too.

Thanks for the help. One more question, I would be planning on putting a K&N air filter(just the replacement one) and some type of different mufflers. Do you have to do a special tune? I would get this later as money permits. But for the time being, would everything be ok? thanks.

Dear JerryP,

No tune is necessary with just a K&N Replacement Air Filter and axleback mufflers...

If you go to a higher Mass CAI, a tune will be required because the increased airflow signals the computer, and results in a "too lean" gas mixture causing the engine light to glow...

MACs' are beautiful Baby!!!!!!!!!!!Pure Rock n' Roll including the drone. When I pass someone and shift into fifth I love the drone hex it puts on the other cars. I just have to smile and laugh at them.

O.k. even though I installed these myself they still were out of line in the stock hangers. They were not level and the tips were hitting the bumber, also the drivers side had alot of play. I ended up taking it to my local muffler shop this weekend and they aligned and center the axlebacks for $20 bucks, and they look and sound awsome!
The stainless steel in very sharp and I'm completely satisfied.

Found this sound clip for the flowmasters compared to the stock stuff. I like the flows.
The sound clips are on the right side.
