Just thought I would pass on my success with an item I bought from Brandmotion. I have the Ipod Adapter for my Shaker 500 and when I upgraded my Ipod to a 5th Gen, the Ipod would tell me "Charging not supported by this device", I further found out that all of my charging devices from my previous 3rd Gen Ipod did the same thing. So I purchased this cable adapter from Brandmotion and am now able to use all of my old charging devices (and my Shaker 500 adapter) with my 5th Gen Ipod ..I highly suggest it to anyone who has run into this issue..
