I couldnt get the FIRST bolt off!!! WTF It is the bolt that holds the catalytic converter piping to the headers, 2 bolts per side. I couldnt get the very first one off for the life of me, I tried EVERYTHING. I think i also stripped it!!! crap crap crap.

Hot blue "wrench", aka acetylene torch.

I've found it best to assume that nothing in an exhaust system that's been in service for a couple of years will be re-usable or even come off without breaking. Sometimes I do get more than one use out of the bolts, but I never count on being able to.

I agree with Norm, depending where you live doing anything work to the exhaust requires a torch. Im a service tech work in New Hampsire and pretty much if a car has gone through one winter, the exhaust bolts are rusted. As opposed to Florida where i dont think they even keep torches in the building

WD40 and a strong impact wrench worked for me. Also when I did mine I attempted to do it by hand while the car was on jack stands. No dice. I then got her up on a lift at work and needed an impact wrench. Came off pretty easy after that. Oh and I soaked it with WD40.

PB blaster works wonders IMO. Make sure that you are turning the nut the right way as well. Its EASY to do it the wrong way when your underneath the car.

PB and an impact, if that dosent work pull out the torches. If you stripped it pick up some extractors like this and use the heat.
