Default Alcoa help

I finally got my Alcoa Super Snake rims mounted to a really nice set of Dunlops (special thanks to MellowYellow) and on my car this weekend. The problem is that since I got the rims on ebay they didn't come with any center caps. I figured that I'd just take the tri-bar pony ones off my GT/CS wheels and put them on the alcoa's, but they are too small. So that makes me think that any aftermarket caps from American Muscle or else where will also be too small. The only set made for the alcoa's I can find have the shelby badging and are 130 bucks for a set of 4 which is a little over priced in my opinion. Does anyone know where I could get wheel center caps for alcoa's for cheaper than 130 dollars? I wouldn't mind just black blanks, anything for a more reasonable price. Thanks,

-Bird

If I remember right the alcoa center bore is different than any other center bore and they do that on purpose so you have to buy there center caps and so people can't put there caps on other wheels.

those plastic ones are likely your only choice. I checked to see if my Razor ones fit as I was switching mine out, but they dont either. I got mine at shelby and $125 for four plastic caps. Its 10X of stupid, but when its your only choice.....

Yeah, I need to go take some pics, but I need to give her a bath first. I'll work on that tomorrow.

Bird I think I recognize your sig pic as a guy over on the Shelby site. We did discuss this to some degree with little to no recognition from 'Robert' at all that it is even an issue in the thread about alcoa's.

To purchase these wheels (which for me go better with the 2005-2009 body style than any other wheel) for $500 per and then have to put a friggin plastic cap is just beyond dumb. Hell, even my Shelby Razors that I got all four for just over $1000 a few years ago have a matching 'metal' center cap. It boggles my mind they did it this way, but I'm 99.99% sure there are no other caps that will fit the wheel.

It sucks, but it is what it is. I was as surprised as anybody when I realized the wheel centers arrived at my doorstep and I open them.....and feel plastic....all for a $125 kiss for likely $5 worth of plastic at best, but I[m sure because the 'Shelby' name is on them it makes them alot more valuable...ROFL.

Post some pics like Mellow mentioned when you get them on! I'm sure it'll look awesome.
