I don't like a GPS on the dash or windshield. I find that if you mount the thing out of the Sun you don't get that fade out from the dorect sunlight. I mounted mine between the AC vents and it's perfect for me at least.

Here's a couple of lousy iPhone pics I just snapped in the parking lot at work.

Notice there are no cords to deal with. It's all integrated into the mount. True plug-and-play.

That is a cool device. I might look into that myself.

That looks real good. I guess if I go with that option I would just not use the traffic update antenna that's built into the charger.

Here's what I did.... I used the suction cup mount and mounted it right over the power outlet and had the power cable (and audio/video wires for my backup camera) ran behind the center console/dash and hardwired so I never have to worry about them being in the way. Here are a few pics:

I just have mine on the suction cup that came with it mounted along the bottom of the center of the windshield. I don't like having to look down while driving, so it's at least somewhat in my line of slight.

I also wired some of the cords from the GPS and my iPod hookup under the center console to plug into the outlet in the console so that they're not out, all over the place. Looks pretty clean

I got my tomtom just to the left of my rearview mirror. Perfect for me.

Not to step on anyone's toes or anything, but having the Mustang badge mounted OVER the airbag door opening is probably a VERY bad idea. Something about a projectile being launched at your passenger's face at a high rate of speed seems dangerous to me...
