Default Steeda C.A.I. Help needed.

Just purchased a Steeda C.A.I. on Ebay,

I installed it, programmed the car with my SCT
punching in STEEDA C.A.I. ,started the car and it did not run well.

I noticed in the SCT programming options for C.A.I.'s it is written ''Steeda 90mm''

I measured mine and got 87mm inside diameter

Does Steeda make two different size Maf housings?

I need to know cause i ordered a custom tune from brenspeed and i may need to contact them so they can adjust their parameters.

I had no idea Steeda made an 87 mm version. And yes it does matter as far as tuning goes.

I have a Steeda and I always assumed it was 90mm. I never had tune problems so I should be ok I think.

Define "...did not run well".

I suspect that you measured incorrectly and that you need to disconnect the battery for 20-30 minutes and then put a good 20-40 miles of some aggressive driving on the car. It may take a day or 2 of this style driving for things to settle down.

Also, if you're using the canned SCT tunes then I'd definately dump them and get tunes from Brenspeed or Doug at AM.

Brenspeed should have no problem writing you appropriate tunes for the different size.

Steeda made two sizes. The newer one is the 90mm. However, I believe the old one was 85mm, not 87mm.

That is correct, our early units manufactured in 05 and 06 are smaller. Units made in May of 06 all the way through to today they have been 90mm.
