looks awesome, i do have a question/concern however... Wouldn't the gloss black paint make the sun reflect more brightly, and completly blind you at times, when you're driving?
I have an old jet ski i wanted to repaint and i used some krylon spray paint. It turned out ok, and fairly glossy, but one thing i learned was thin coats arent a good idea for spray paint if you want gloss. When you spray it thick (just enough to where it wont run) it kinda self levels and dries evenly where as if its too thin it dries as it sticks and leaves a sand paper feel to it.
Very true...And I love that feel because it appears/feels more factory as opposed to custom painted if that makes sense. But if you want that ultra gloss you may want to thinken your coats slightly...BUT NOT TOO MUCH!!

No...mine doesn't at lease..If you did the whole DASH then yeah you may experience some reflection/glare issues obviously...but center console/trim pieces will not have the same as they sit too low to give that kind of reflection up into your face.
I think the gloss black side trim pieces (on either side of the radio) are a bit much - I don't plan on doing those. But the console by itself I think looks great. Apparently, Saleen thinks so as well ( '10 Saleen S281):
Forget the rattle can.
It doesn't have hardener for obvious reasons, so you won't get the high gloss you're after and it will scratch easily.
A shop should be able to do it for $50 if you bring them the part.
It takes very little materials and no time to spray.

Okay, paint shop it is. $50 would be a steal if I can find someone willing to do it for that.
