which is better nos,zex,nx,&etc. i want to run a 100 shot don't have the money for a sc or turbo plus where I live n20 cars whip up on sc cars allday.just curious because i think im gonna go with zex but i heard a few guys say that zex is crap.


p.s. sc guys don't get upset by what I said its just what ive seen.If I had the money I would get a sc.

 

Any system, so long as it's a wet system that uses a Wide open throttle switch, should be okay.

 

Zex itself isn't crap just the nice little brain box messes up every now and then ... and +1 to siggy's post ... and may I ask the amount of use of this system because within 6-12 months you will have already paid for a SC kit for your car if you plan on using the system frequently so I would just save the 20-40 dollars a bottle filling up and put it away until you have enough for the SC kit :/

 

I have a ZEX wet kit and i love it. I was also like you in the way that i wanted a S/C but the nitrous was cheaper but if you think about it its almost the same and more expensive in the long run. The kit comes with a bottle, the line, the brain and a switch. What most people dont think about is you also need a pressure gauge($50), a bottle heater($200), a purge system( $200), plus the $40- $60 fills every time you want to have fun. So your $700 nitrous kits turns into a $1100-$1200 kit real quick. I know S/C kits are in the $3000-$5000 range but thise fills add up quick. It sucks when one of your buddies is talking **** and want to race and you dont have a full bottle or youre driving to work or something and a car that you know you can beat tries to race and you dont have the spray in lol. but not having it there also might save you from tickets. I built mine for the track so thats why i went with nitrous. I dont mess around street racing like i did when i was younger but the main reason i went with nitrous is because i know three people with the same car as me with a S/C a turbo and nitrous and the nitrous car is the fastest and now my car is the fastest lol ( out of us four ) plus you cant purge a S/C or turbo and the girls like it ; )

Good luck with your choice and you wont be disappointed with nitrous i promise . Like a good friend of mine said " Nitrous is like a hot girls with herpes, you want to hit it but you're scared of the consequences". lol

thanks guys.yep i will go with the zex kit it will be about $1100 for everything i need.I only drive my car on weekends so refills shouldn't be a problem.plus I wouldn't be using the bottle too much I think lol!!

Haha that is a good thought but it is false trust me. Once you feel the nitrous you will want it more and more. A bottle a month does to a bottle every two weeks to a bottle a week to three fills on a saturday night because youre bored and drivnig around racing people. lol Its like a drug. Before you know it youll be doing sexual favors just for some nitrous lol Jk. But no seriously its pretty addicting and fun. One thing that does suck is whenever youre not spraying your car will feel slow because you have felt it with nitrous or as my buddy says you have felt real power lol Make sure you get a tune. dont just retard the timing on a sct and call it good. i did that for a while and i wa running lean. Learn from my mistake and get a tune before you spray

I have been thinking of doing the whole nitrous thing. It is a much cheaper or shall i say cheaper up front cost. However in my case im out of state for work three weeks at a time and go to the track about 3 times a year. Never race on the street. Scared i'll get a ticket. I have the detroit rocker cam i was wondering if u can have nitrous with cams or are certain cams used for nitrous. Is purging necessary. Read where its more for show. What else is it used for. Blowing out residue or what
