Thanks!
Will do man I get back saturday so i will let u know how it goes. And i believe you were the one that interested in the grill that i won from that AM contest. I emailed the promotions guy and asked to have the chin spoiler painted and i would pay for it but he said they would paint it and not send the grill so i agreed to those terms.

I just loaded my brenspeed tune a couple days days ago. Follow the instructions they send you and you'll be fine. Do make sure you update your SCT's firmare via sctflash.com. Also make sure you have LiveLink 6 and the latest LiveLoad.

LiveLoad will help you manage all your tunes. You can open it up now and look through it to get acquainted with it if you want. You won't lock your tuner or lose tunes or anything, just make sure you save your e-mailed tunes to your desktop

I don't have a brenspeed tune.
I have the SCT X3 but my tune comes from somewhere else.
So I have no instructions to read.

Oh ok. Here's the two sets of instructions sent by brenspeed:

1. Go to www.sctflash.com

2. Click Tech Support on the top navigation bar

3. Click Device Updates & Downloads

4. Select the SCT device ( The model number is on a sticker, located on the back of the tuner packaging)

5. Select Device Update Software

6. Click Search

7. The next page will display information about the tuner. Select Click Here to Download.

8. Choose “Save” and save to your desktop, or other location that you can easily find.

9. Once download is complete, double click the SCT Device Updater file icon to install the desktop software.

10. Congratulations now open and follow the instructions included in the attached PDF file to load your custom tune onto the device.

FOR THE FORD X3/SF3 3000/3015, Livewire, GM SF3 3415 and X3 3400:
Installing the Software, if already installed skip to the next step
• Make sure the device is not plugged in.
• Go to your Email, and save the tune files that were
sent to you. For the location, select the desktop.
Plugging in the Device and Installing Drivers
• Once the software is installed, plug in your X3.
• A Found New Hardware Wizard will pop up, It may
ask you "Can Windows connect to Windows
Update to Search for Software?" If it does, click
"No, Not at this Time" then press Next.
• At the Next Window, Select "Install Software
Automatically (Recommended)" and click Next.
Windows will search and Install the drivers for your
device, Click Finish to Finish the Driver Installation
• If a “Found New Hardware Wizard” did not pop up, and you get an error in the next step, go back to the FAQs and
locate the Entry for Installing Drivers Manually
Loading the Custom tunes onto the X3
• Now that the drivers are installed, open the X3/Livewire Updater software. There will be a new Icon on your desktop.
(Yellow, Orange and Black.)
• Once opened, click on the button labeled: "Load Custom Tune File" (Image A), this will open the window for loading
custom tunes onto your device.
• Click on the browse button, then browse to the location that you saved the tune files to. (Should be the desktop)
• Click on the first file, and press open
• This will bring you back to the Tune Loader Window (Image B), Select the file position, and type a Name for the tune file
• Once the file position is selected and the Tune Name is populated, press the Program button at the button, this will add
the tune file to your tuner.
o If you receive a message “Wrong Serial Number, aborting” (Image C), this means the serial number within
the tune file does not match the serial number within the device. You will need to contact the dealer that
created the tune for you and have them correct the serial number.
• For More than one tune file, repeat this process

When you plug your SCT into your pc and launch LiveLoad, the software will have a list of the three tunes you have loaded. You can go through and remove tunes one at a time and upload tunes individually as well. Actually, you have to upload one at a time.

I did the first set of instructions and downloaded the
Device Updater Software.

Do I also need to download the Device Firmware?
The Brenspeed instructions did not say this but it says if your SCT has a serial number starting with XP you are supposed to. And mine does.
They are two different downloads.
I just dont wanna download it and it wipe out my SCT files I have now that I need.

Wait... now it says
Devices Affected:
All X3 with Serial Numbers starting lower than XP010809
Why did they say all devices starting with XP then they say devices lower than that number?
Mine starts with XP but the next numbers are 03 so it is actually a higher number. Do I need to download the Device Firmware then or just the Device Updater Software?

Also I download the Liveload program? Where is that?
