Oh man its evil... Im a computer nerd this time around for my deployment and yeh.... The mod bug has hit me HARDER than ever. The wife is hating me right now. But They way i look at it, My baby will be ready for me when i get home ! Any one else deployed ever have this problem / addiction lol !

I've always had the mod bug. Told myself I would only buy a couple things while deployed. So far I have a GPS/Nav waiting for me, and soon I'll have some wheels/tires. I'll start setting some money aside as I'm going to need Lowering Springs/Strut Shocks/LCA/UCA, etc.

 

RIght ! I just went nuts at stage3motorsports .....damn tax free money... New LCA's new panhard bar Adj. and some other fun filled goodies for the suspension.....Ive been looking at Cruzin Cnocepts lately for new tires and rims and i think i found a winnner ! I really want to finish the show part of the car while im gone (mainly the wife can do this easier than the go part)....

Nice, I'm looking into getting the dd bullitts. Also, gonna hit up Sam Strano about some suspension questions. I think I want to get a watts-link and eliminate the panhard system.

 

I got the same thing going on :P ... I am deployed and I ordered a new '11 GT and already looking at mods :/

 

The mod bug isn't too friendly to the bank account, its like a virus. Return home same, your car is waiting for you.

 

My 06 doesn't want to be traded in, so I have to upgrade her. I already put the 5.0 Crate Engine on my "to-do" list. Gonna start tucking money aside for it.

Thing about mods is... like for suspension. I want some new shocks/strucks/lowering springs... I gotta get the HD Mounts or Shelby Mounts as a result... Then I need to correct the suspension geometry so I need adjustable lca or uca... and then comes a new mount. Needless to say it's never ending the supporting mods you need!

WILDWES11: you doing the Military program thing through AAFES for the car..?? If so what are the deals looking like ..?

 

Yes I am, I got a GT premium loaded for 30,150 i believe it was ... and got 4.9 apr over 72 months ... and hopefully before I get home another rebate will come out so I can get that one too
