Default tranny ques

If I were to find a manual transmission in a junkyard from a totaled car would a swap be possible from my automatic transmission?

this has been covered before, sorry to say, but this isnt a simple plug'n play. most people will reccomend actually just trading your current one in for the manual.

if you have your heart set on it though, buy the tranny from LKQ, they are pretty cheap there. but again, fair warning, this isnt going to be a walk in the park.

IMO you might just be happier buying a manual car. I was thinking of swapping my V6 engine for an V8, but after reading and deciding that it would just cost too much I bought a GT. Much better choice and it only cost me $1k more than I sold my V6 for.

How much did your v6 go for and how much was your GT (nice btw).

And does anyone think the prices of the 05-09 GT's will drop with the new 5.0 engine out?

I bought my v6 pony package for 11.1 from a dealer with 67k miles on it. I wonder if I'd be able to sell it or trade in somewhere for a reasonable price and purchase a GT. I got 2k in money for graduation which I never expected so I'm close to being able to get a GT.
