Default Upgrade to a GT?

So recently I bought my 06 Pony Package and have been doing some thinking. I spent around 12k in total on my car and put a down payment of 3k so I'm financing about 9k. Just recently I got a lot of money for my graduation and have been doing some thinking. I got about 2k and was thinking although I pretty much just bought my car, sell it for close to what I bought it, save my 2k and more money over the winter (cant drive it in the winter anyway it snows quite a bit here) then take all that money, come back wiith 6kish in hand and put that down on a GT and basically finance the same I am now or hopefully a little less or maybe more. I'd like to do this because well 1, its a GT, 2, I bought auto and am really itching and wish I found a manual transmission and lastly why not save the money and grab a GT when I can't really drive my v6 stang in the winter too much anyway.

Opinions everyone?

Also what are leasing deals like for the brand new v6's and even the GTs for ****s and giggles?

All help is appreciated, thank you.

Well assuming by the comment you made about graduation money, I would imagine you are 17-18. I am 19 and I can tell you insurance is going to smoke you if you got a GT so keep that in mind before you make any major decisions...

Not necessarily true. Definitely need to check with your insurance company about this first, but when I was looking into my car, the insurance rate between a V6 and my GT was about $15 different for 6 months. I was 18 at that time, 19 now.

OP you say you cant drive your auto 6 in the winter much anyway, what makes you think you could drive a more powerful car better?

Well I wouldnt drive the GT much in the winter anyway obviously but since it's gonna be a lot of downtime why not save the money and get what I'd really like?

I'm 20 and the difference between a GT and V6 on insurance is $100 every 6 months. WIth that being said, my insurance does cost $1300 every SIX MONTHS for full coverage. what what? in the butt

Lol I'm 18 and right now I pay 600 every 6 months, so if they told me there wouldnt be a difference really I'm not too worried but I'll look into it more.
