05 Mustang GT Exhaust System
#2
Too many options to list. I would join a local mustang club and listen to what other members have. Just remember that our cars will not sound like the previous generation mustangs. I can guarantee that whatever exhaust option you choose now will not be your last.

What would be the "best" what? Best setup for the money? Best setup for sound? Best setup that doesn't drone?
And are you talking axlebacks or farther forward to include replacing the stock H-pipe? Cats? Headers?
Your question is not much different than "I want a car. What's best?"

I've got an 05 GT manual with 4.10's and find my GTA's are perfect. Quiet when I want it but nice and deep at higher rpm's going through the gears.

Everyone is going to say that their setup is best, but it's really something you have to decide for yourself. Like gman said, check out local 'Stangs and see what sound you like. Youtube vids are okay to get an idea, but they don't do the sound justice.

A little louder than stock? Do you plan to do headers, off road midpipes..... as these change which muffler to get. If you only plan on axle back(mufflers) then magnaflow or flowmaster american thunder might fit your needs. Youtube can give you some sound ideas.

I was thinking something like this http://www.borla.com/products/produc...rod_sku=140135
Catbacks will buy you no more sound than axlebacks. They WILL set you back a few dollars more. Research, my friend, before you waste your money.
