I seen a 427R built motor, TVS 2300, slicks, full suspension, 650whp running 11.7s@124mph.. and I saw a "bouncing" Cobra running 18.8s, but looked like it was running 8's down half the track lol I also seen a 375whp SRT-4 on slicks running 11.4@127mph..

as long as you can hook, you're set

Nice build. I am not as optimistic about you hitting 10s, first time out as others, although would be great and love to see it. This is based upon seeing lots and lots of 500 rear wheel S197s, with the usual suspension mods, struggling around the high 11s. Those Nittos going to have to be replaced. Your short time will be a balance between torque and grip. Too much power and you overwhelm the available grip. That's why some 420-450 rw S197s correctly setup for launch often outperform those with 100 more horses.

That Cobra was probably out of regs to run in the 10s or whatever he actually ran so he was fluffing it down the first segment and then hammering it to compare traps etc. on the 18.8, what was his trap speed?? 18.8 should be like 80mph. I bet he was going faster than 80 lol

MM&FF ran 1.849 11.572 @ 124.78 on 18" OEM Cooper RS3 Tires on a Roush Stage III (540 bhp).

With better strip tires (Surely Nitto DR beats Cooper Street Rubber) and 50 bhp more you should be able to match that if the driving and prep is up to it even in a little worse air.

I wouldn't doubt it.. the place I go to won't let you run if you go anything faster than an 11.3 without a roll cage. That Cobra picked up so much speed it's not even funny! And that was half way down the track.. reminds me of when I ran a turbo TA, running an 11.4@127mph, the thing is, I had him through the 1/8th mile, after that he left me like I was parked lulz
