Default Bizarre Climate Control Issue

Ok so I had hoped it would just go away but looks like it isn't. I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced this, a quick look around I didn't find anything:

Occasionally while in the car the climate control will go "crazy".. see below. It's showing the dual climate control (which I don't have) temperatures and.. well basically everything on the far left and far right never should appear, but randomly does. At the same time the fans go full blast for a few seconds, and that fan icon on the left is animated (again, never see that normally) then settle down. Usually restarting the car fixes this. The other day the A/C just cut out.. again restarting fixed it. The temperatures are completely wrong, especially since they're in F and I'm in Canada and it should be showing it in C.

I called the dealer, they had no idea, but will be calling back. I thought I'd post here to see if anyone has insight into this. Picture taken with my crappy iPhone camera so excuse the quality, but should be enough to get the gist of it.

I don't have the NAV unit, I do have Sync. It's only happened maybe once every few weeks (I don't drive her that often either though)

Thanks,

re Lint: How long have you had your Mustang?

Going to call the dealer again since they never did call me back.. I'm not anticipating this is a huge issue, just hoping it's not an indication of something else.

Try some jazz or Car Talk and maybe it'll stop. Seriously though sounds like a circuit board malfunction.

Are you married to the car? The chip in my ex went bad when she hit 40 so I traded her in...

Yeah, I know. No help...

Haha naw, I already looked at what it would take to get a 2011... the 5.0 tempts me so... would be a waste of money but maybe a 2012 or 2013, especially if they add in the MyFord features from the Fiesta. But I digress..

Taking the car in on Tuesday to the dealer, guessing you won't have it happen again lint but just in case I'll let you know what I find out in case you wind up having to take it into the dealer.. agreed it sounds like a circuit board issue.

Thanks for the "help" guys.. at least I didn't have it on the Frank Sinatra Sirius channel

let me know how it turns out. I forgot to mention the other AC issue that was happening around the same time. If i switched from defrost to max, i would hear a click (or clunk) sound coming from the dash. Its a mechanical sound and sometimes it would happen over and over for about 15 seconds. I called the dealer and he said to bring it in, but it stopped happening. I took a video of it for proof. It hasnt happened in over a month.
