Default Steeda Pistol Grip Shift ****

Just got one off of ebay. Looks like I should have checked here 1st, as it looks like the stock **** has a ring around it to attach to the shift boot. I doubt if the new pistol grip **** will have this, and therefore it will stick out like a circumsized ****. Anyone have pics of one installed, or know if the Steeda has a "ring" for the factory boot? Thanks for any info.

No problem. Here's what I did, for my custom laser engraved Cue Ball ****. Just go to your local hardware store. Take your factory shift **** in. Find the washer section and get a few different washers that are different in thickness, but are the same outside diameter as the bottom of the factory ****. Also make sure the center of the washers are the same as the center of the factory ****. Then get a 12 mm nut. To make sure you have the right nut, find a 12mm x 1.25 bolt and see if it screws inside the factory ****. Then use this bolt to find the right size nut. You don't buy the bolt, just the nut & washers. The object here is to, remove the factory ****, thread on the nut and turn it all the way to the bottom of the factory shift lever. Then, you use a few washers on-top of the nut. The washers act as the bottom of the factory **** and will hold the boot on nicely. Then, thread your new **** on unitl it's tight. If the **** dosen't stop at the correct angle you want, then either add of remove some washers. That's why you get a few (I bought 4) washers and in different thickness. You should be able to find the right combination of washers so your new **** will sit exactly the way you want when it's tight. Long winded but at least you now should get the Big Picture?
