i have second skin in my car. Expensive but probably the best quality out there. That being said, if you really want to quite your car down you will need a good bit. i bought the bulk pack and didnt notice a huge decrease in sound but i didnt do my doors yet (still have a few sheets left to use up)

I just installed 50 feet of Fatmat and I love it. It seems way to thin to do the job, but believe me it works really well! and it's cheap. The 100 sqr ft package for $120 should cover your car.

So far when I have been looking at sound deadening, I haven't noticed much difference in the price when you take into account thickness of the material and square footage? Has anyone found any articles that have done any actual tests to determine which is truly "better"?

I noticed an odor for maybe a week. Smelled like road tar, but wasnt terrible. It's gone now. Here is what I used: http://www.fatmat.com/bulk/fatmat/100.html. So Fatmat eXtreme
