That is a great price and a slick install! Very nice!
A few questions if I may...
1. Did you only change out the radio? Everything else is Shaker 500 factory equipment?
2. Did you use the built-in power of the Pioneer radio to power the front and rear 6x8's?
3. Did you keep the door subs connected through their factory amp?
4. Any hiss or engine wine coming through the speakers?
5. How does it sound compared to the Shaker 500?
Thanks,
JD

2. The Pioneer radio simply turns on the factory amp, which powers the speakers, just like the Shaker 500 radio does.
3. See above.
4. No hiss or whine problems
5. It sounds significantly better, a lot better than I was expecting. The Pioneer clearly has better sound processing capabilities.

Since I also installed this stereo, and actually used the first post in this thread to help me, I'll also put in my opinion. I had the Shaker1000 which I thought was a great system, but the 4200 blew it out of the water, lol. The first thing I noticed was huge bass increase. I have the bass boost on 0, and the subwoofer level usually on 0 or +1, and it still hits way harder than the Shaker headunit. I still have the factory speakers/subs/amps, but I hope of swapping out the speakers and door subs ASAP
Also love the iPod capability
