ditto. .it's like that for me at the track as well. I need at least an hour cool down after arriving if I expect to run some good times. You should get some drag radials and lower control arms. If you do run that 12.5/12.6 on street tires, you're looking at some VERY low 12s in your 5.0! That would be quite impressive indeed!

You should EASILY get at least .3, We got over 1/2 a second in testing with our CAI using our tuning.

I'm heading to the track this weekend (with drag radials) and will have some numbers for y'all. Thanks Evolution Performance (Fred and Kent).
Dude, if you're spinning in 4th then you have the crappiest tires ever or you're driving on ice...

My buddies 450rwhp 2200lb Factory Five Cobra doesn't even do that... :-)

They aren't the best tires around (Nexen N7000 275/35/20) but I'm comparing to what it did before the Steeda CAI and tune and it's a completely different animal. I do have drag radials Nitto NT05r 275/40/17's that I'll have on for the track.

No BS on the spinning in fourth.

I really like the CAI, everything fit great and went in easy. Thanks for the link, I'm fired up for Sunday now!

I realize you have a 6 sp and I have a 5 spd but I don't buy it... I have over 430rwhp (more than you) and even when I was on worn stock tires I didn't spin in 4th at WOT.

Are you holding the RPMS at 6500 then dumping the clutch while in 4th or something?

First let me clairfy, before the CAI and tune the car would "chirp" fourth and now it's much more than a chirp which I refer to as spin. I'm shifitng at 7200rpm, WOT, as fast as I possibly can.

By the way, cool car! I had a 2007 GT I traded in for this one and I loved it.

Default RE: Track Day Complete

The guys at Evolution and Steeda are amazing!

The car ran 12.4 to 12.6 all day long. The outside air temp was almost 90 so I didn't get the break I was hoping for there. Some of the 12.6's were with a lot of wheel hop. I couldn't launch at any rpm over 4000 without bouncing like a basketball. I guess control arms are in my future.

I'll have the time slips posted tomorrow (Something up with my home printer)!

I hope you're reading this S197 Steve!
