Whenever I've heard clicking it has been a bad battery. Use a multimeter to check the battery voltage. If your voltage is above ~12.4 then it's probably your starter.

Having encountered this problem as well, I was worried about it being the starter, and alternator because of the symptoms... but in the end it was just the battery. 5 year old battery, having sat in florida sun for nearly a year with no one really starting it... Result, dead battery.

Of course, check yours out and make sure before you go spending any money... but that's where I would look first.

Most likely the battery test the battery or jump it, it will probably start right up. This cars have a lot of drain put on the battery when the car is parked awhile.

There are TSB's and numerous threads regarding bad batteries/alternators. The 05's and 06's are notorious for high parasitic current draw due to numerous accessories, particularily the Shaker systems. Have the battery load tested as well as having the alternator checked out. Hopefully, it's just the battery.

clicking usually means battery, so def. check the voltage. I good battery is 12.7volts, but anything about 12.4 SHOULD start but still has drained down and might not start it.

+1, the 3 times my battery have died for leaving my fogs on the starter has clicked. Also I've let my car sit for about 3 weeks and the battery died because of the alarm.
