'08 Coupe questions from the new guy....
Alright, new here and got some questions. stock 08 coupe V6. plain jane. Heres my questions:
1. Will the 2010 or 2011 hoods fit the '08's? I have found a RA hood that im in love with, but wanna make sure it would fit.
2. Dont know a whole lot, but on Cold Air Intakes. Either K@N for around $315, or pay bout $520 for one from Ford Racing, but it comes with a programmer?
3. If hood from #1 fits, and install CAI from #2, would additional Ram Air kit to go from inserts to CAI work?
Appreciate suggestions or comments, thanks.

Do not do the CAI alone, as the custom tune is what gives you the most response. If I had to choose one or the other, I would choose the tuner without the CAI. Never take the CAI without the tuner. The tune is a much bigger deal.

Cai plus brenspeed tune. They have combo kits for about 600. Just visit there website www.brenspeed.com if u have any qustions give them a call. They are very knowledgeable about tuning. Asking questions on this forum is great and most of the time they get answered but sometimes you will get mixed reviews on something so dont be afraid to call a place like brenspeed.

NO

The FRPP tune is not as aggressive as a Brenspeed or AM tune. Expect an additional 10-15 RWHP from Brenspeed or AM's CAI & tune combo compared to the FRPP CAI & tune. And if you get a combo, the K&N isn't the better of the CAI's. You'll do a tad better with a tune-required CAI (JLT, Steeda, C&L...).
3. If hood from #1 fits, and install CAI from #2, would additional Ram Air kit to go from inserts to CAI work?
Moot, since the hood won't fit. And if it did, the ramair would only look nice. No performance gain as you can only push so much air into the engine; no more than a CAI and the very capable stock TB can already ingest.
Appreciate suggestions or comments, thanks.
