Default Am I missing a piece or guard on my front bumper?

I have a black 2009 GT/CS mustang. I attached a photo and wanted to know if anyone could tell me if this is normal. My front bumper has a rectangular opening that exposes the radiator. Is there a guard that I can buy available to cover this opening? The radiator sits about a foot behind the opening but small rocks and such are able to make contact with it. Thanks.

Nope, you're not missing anything. That's open on mine, too, obviously for air flow to the radiator (of course, I haven't looked at mine in a few days and it's at home in the garage...).

Supposed to be there. SHR sells something that will go in there that matches the grille. I personally don't like it.

Yeah, they leave that open for better air flow to the radiator...if you had a front mount intercooler that would also serve a cool purpose...but you don't want to cover it, it looks stupid IMO

No, you aren't missing anything and that's your A/C condenser, not radiator.

As someone mentioned you can get inserts from Silverhorse racing that look OEM. Here's a link. I didn't like the way the opening looked either so I installed them and they are great.

Will the insert effect any performance?
