I hope it moves faster than it has been for me!

I'm about to head into my 12th week of waiting and I currently have no car. As of right now, my car has been manufactured and is sitting on a holding lot somewhere in Michigan. To be perfectly honest, my dealer has been relatively shady all along about this process. He keeps telling me/inferring that i'll be getting the car in 1-3 weeks, yet each time the deadline comes, it's in reality just another step that the car moves onto.

Don't buy from small town dealers

As for info on the build, you'll have to just contact your dealer and ask them for updates if you want them!

Thanks.....ordered it July 7th.....not that long, but seems forever!
Know we have been driving the GM crazy - but he knew that as he is in our local mustang club and his wife has been waiting for her DUB pony for months now.

We just wanted to see if we could track it on a website to watch it being "born" LOL

Our dealership could not get any unless they were ordered!!
Went out of town the last 2 weekends and the bigger cities have 5-7 on the lots;-((

Yeah I can see how that might be a problem. I'm in the Denver area, so they aren't rare here since its a "big city"...

I ordered my Mustang GT/CS Auto Tranny July 20th. It just arrived Saturday, Pick it up Today. My dealer seemed to not know anything about build status or shipping status. (They are a bit shady and seem like they hold back info) But I got a phone number to Ford customer service 800-392-3673. Get through prompts (english) press 1, then press 5, then press 3, then press 2, then stay on the line. You will get someone who can look up the build status / build date using your VIN #. Hope that helps.
