lol ok man, seems pretty pronounced to me at 5-8 seconds. Thats all intake / sound tube for the most part with the windows up. Its 3x louder than it was stock last week. My girl even commented on it out of the blue after I installed the intake. I tried without the "cork" but it was way too loud for me, drowned out the radio.

You're also running cams, LTs and an or/h so your basis of comparison is shall we say... skewed at best. This car is nearly bone stock... I'd take a video of the stock intake sound to compare, but thats just too much work, lol.

me personally i couldnt tell much difference in sound when i had long tubes installed. what got my car loud was going to an or/h and if u are running cats, thats why i felt it wasn't very loud. me personally, i can't tell the difference in sound with a car with a cai or one without

All other mods being equal, what do you guys think they do different on a tune from 87 to 93 octane? The only thing they have to change is the timing as far as I can see. Once the basic program is re-written to maximize the A/F ratio and throttle response, then it is just a matter of how much the timing can be advanced until detonation occurs. There is not that much of a difference that can be obtained with a couple degrees of timing. What 5 or so HP? I really think too much is being made of the "butt" dyno in this case.
Anyone have any real life dyno or 1/4 mile time slips to back up the HP increase with tune changes, with EVERYTHING else being equal?

I love my 93 race tune. My only complaint with it is that my car tends to "hang" at a higher RPM if I put the car in neutral and let it coast to a stop. It gets pretty irritating.
