ah but we arent talking theoretical top speeds of 200+ we are talking real world. The 410s will get you going and up to 150 faster than stock 331. It will give you more pull in 5th gear than you have with the stock gears too. I know gears limit top speed on an excel spreadsheet but that means jack once you are on the actual pavement. high end HP in the higher RPMS will do better

I just saw an example today of someone not understanding speed and handling. We have a short (about a mile) section of highway to link to the main highway in town. A kid in a Camaro cut me off as we entered - I had just started to accelerate in the left lane when he abruptly changed lanes right in front of me. So I backed off and let him go. This connector has a very sharp right hand curve in it just before it meets up with the highway and you can't make the turn going much more than 50 or so. He was pulling away very fast and climbing going to the curve at probably 100 mph. When I got to the curve - there was the skid marks, the tire smoke was in the air and the Camaro was sitting nose first in the ditch. EVERYONE in the area knows that curve is there,

You won't redline at 6250 until about 180 MPH in 5th with 4.10's, so gears are NOT the issue. We simply need more power to overcome drag, period.

If a stock Stang gets over 150 MPH, it's either going downhill or has a tailwind.

But at what cost!? Are 1000 less idiots worth 1000 less Mustangs?

Maybe we can think of it as more parts from the junk yard.

I agree it was a stupida** question but I'm 17 and build mustangs with my father, so though alot are you cant say all kids are stupid. But to whoever started this thread I have idea why more than 150mph is crossing your mind, I am watching kids die in my area every month at the most 90mph.

yeah some of these people on here r just real bone heads..they think im driving 150 mph everyday or something..act like its big deal..well i guess none of those meatheads have ever been to germany and driven on the autobahn there..thats an everyday speed for alot of people over there..and yeah if u crash 99% of the time thats all she wrote but thats a way of life . i was asking a simple question and yeah i know they have stuff out there only reason why i asked is cause the mechanic i took my car to put in on a computer to check all the crap and he said ford had a code on something and he couldnt get thru it..and i live in montana and we have great roads here to haul *** on..and i just did it one time. so dont be tripping out over stupid ****..my god..just cause ur *** cant drive..damn..this is why these forums suck it..u always get some dumb *** people that think they know every gddamn thing..
