This has happened to me about 5 times. Once on the interstate doing about 85 mph. Couple of times crusing around town and once at a stop sign. Always starts back up though. No codes.....Nothing! I've checked ground wires and connections but have found nothing as of yet. Never thought it might be the tune cause I've had the tune on it for a long time and this is a recent problem. Did you just reload the tune, contact Brenspeed or what to fix your problem. Very interested to find out how to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

Some may remember when I had my 2010, I had this problem, happened once the first week of owning the car, a few times the second week, then about 5 times a day the third and final week... It turned out to be the computor was ****ed. It wouldnt show a code, nothing, would die on me while driving, or idling. Then start up and run fine. They replaced the computor, and it never happened again.

I've had it once. Same as Joe, above. 85mph on highway, on cruise, been running for like 2 hours. Car totally died. I rolled to the shoulder, tried to restart but nothing. I get the "Oh FACK" feeling, try again and she fired up perfectly and I drove on without any further incident. This was like 3 months ago and it's not done it since or before.

Yeah I had I real erie feeling when it happened to me for the first time. I was on a road trip to Pensacola then New Orleans and was driving home to Tulsa about 1 AM in the morning in Louisianna on some highway and whammo. Had my girlfriend with me and I thought this is not good. Got out and looked under the hood and under the car and tried to start it and it fired right up. Drove 500 more miles to Tulsa with no problems. Girlfriend had to be at work in the morning. Got her home just in time to leave for work. Good times.

Brenspeed shared with me their opinion on the occurrence:

Air pocket in the power steering pushed itself out and made the car freak out.

I've driven it twice since the car shut down, and so far no problems. I don't know how plausible the air pocket theory really is, but it seems to potentially fit the description.

damn this post got me nervous ! thats really not good .. you know speaking of powersteering ... this is has nothing to do with the post topic but ive always had noise coming from the front suspension .. all sorts of pooping and bumping and could not fix it no matter how many replacememnt parts and tightening not even the dealer could figure it out for about 2 years its been like this pops all day long when turning low speeds park lot driveways all the time ! .. turns out my power steering fluid was right at the low level fill line ! all i had to do was add fluid to the top max line and all the noise went away i know ive read of guys going crazy trying to figure out front noise and spend $$$ on struts sway bars mounts bolts everything ! all it needed was the correct steering fluid in my case... hope this helps anyone and hey man be safe to all the guys that had the car shut off .

How would that make the car die? I'm not trying to be a smarta$$, just don't see a connection??

Not at all assy of you, its a reasonable question, I asked the same thing to the Brenspeed techie. His response was that the power steering air pocket lockup made the CPU freak out.

I failed to see the connection, but he said that a customer brought their car in and he spent 2 days working on it trying to find that same issue and determined it was a "one time" deal. I said I would let him know if it ever happened again--hopefully its not fatal :/
