Ford offering big incentives on 2010 Mustangs
I think a '10 gt vert is worth $29k which would save me $2k over buying an '11 v6 vert. That $2k would easily pay for the difference in fuel costs over the term of the loan. The car is simply not worth any more than that though. Too bad Ford and the dealers don't think that way. I talked to a dealer a few weeks back and told him the same thing and I think he thought I was nuts. I'm sure they will find some suckers out there to offload the remaining gt verts to for $35k. I would be at the dealer in 30 mins if they offered a '10 gt vert to me for $29k though
I bought my GT in February with better incentives ....
Current Atlanta incentive ...
$3,000 rebate
or
3.9% for 72 Months + $1,000 rebate.
February Incentives were:
$2,500 cash rebate
or
0% for 72 Months.
I took the 0% for 72 Months ... plus X-Plan + $750 coupon.

We are talking incentives here, not total price deducted from MSRP. You got more than $3500 in incentives in March? These incentives are irrespective of what price you paid for the car. I would pay below invoice and then subtract the incentives from there. I would seriously bite at a '10 gt vert if I could get one for $29k but I think from running the numbers it looks like about the best I could do for a '10 gt vert at this time is $32-33k out the door which is not worth it imo. I would just get the '11 v6 for $2k less and enjoy the same performance and far fewer stops at the gas station. Ford needs to get a clue if they want the '10's to sell...
