Oil light for a second after oil change
So I just finished an oil change, got the car on the ground, started it and the oil light was on. I quickly shut the car off (the car didn't run longer than 5 seconds) and checked the oil level. All was good. Started the car again and the oil light was gone and everything is fine. Is it normal to sometimes have the oil light be on for a second as the oil fills the oil filter and whatnot the first time it starts? Never had this happen on a car before.

This is pretty common. When the oil system is drained, it takes the oil pump a second or two to get oil pumped up all they way back up into the heads, etc. During these few seconds, there will be almost no pressure, as resistance to flow is what causes pressure and when it's rising the oil level up there is almost none.
That's why us SHO folk disconnect the ignition module after changing the oil and crank the engine for a few seconds; this allows the oil pump to get oil all the places it needs to be without placing undue stress on any un-oiled parts.

I've been doing my own oil changes for over 25-30 years and the oil light on many of my cars have taken a few seconds longer to go out immediately following an oil change. I wouldn't sweat it.
