Default Replacing Battery void warranty?

I know this is a crazy question, does replacing your battery with a non-Motorcraft battery void the warranty. I can't imagine it would but I thought I would ask...

Thanks

Only if a problem came up that was clearly linked to the battery doing something terribly wrong. I would say batteries are one of those things you can replace pretty safely knowing it's not going to kill your car's warranty

We see cars all the time with aftermarket batteries. It voids nothing.

Did you notice that your gas cap says that Ford recommends BP gas? Anything other than BP will void your warranty.

You're right, your question IS crazy. Get rid of the MotorCrap battery at your earliest convenience.

The only way a non-Motorcraft batt is going to void your warranty is if it F***'s up your car. So long as the batt is a batt that is specifically designed to run under SAE and USDOT specs, it is not cause for your Warranty to be voided.

Also, if the batt does indeed F*** up your car, Ford will have to prove that the non-Motorcraft batt caused the problems.

+1, mine was leaking battery acid and ate away some paint in my engine bay. It tested good but I still got rid of that piece of crap, wouldn't hold a charge to save its life.

Wow, based on this, the sword better cut both ways.

If Ford has the right to void your warranty because you did not put in a Ford-approved part, then Ford had better damn sure warranty damage caused by a Ford-approved part!

I hope the dealer fixed your batt acid spill since it is a Ford approved Motorcrap batt.

Your warranty can NOT be voided.
Period !!
That is the LAW.
A dealer can choose to not cover the issue if they can prove that the mod was the cause.

It will not void your warranty. And if a problem occurred as a result of the new battery, the battery manuf. would be liable.
