Default whipple injector help

i recently made 469 rwhp on a mustang dyno with my m-6066-M11P7 FRPP whipple kit. i added kooks LT and catted h pipe and got dyno'd at 455 rwhp. my question about the dyno is the tuner used 32 lb./hr injector for his tuning process. the kits says it has 32lb./hr., but i have read in here that this kit has 39 lb. injectors. ford racing site says that a ford injector flow rates at a delta pressure is 39.15 psi. for some reason ford sent me 10 injectors with this kit. the numbers and letters on these are 4G7V-B5A. also on the other side of the injector is 0 280 158 060 & 1-08-10-07042623. what lb. injectors should the tuner of used in his dyno tuning process?

Bosch rates the part number at 38 lbs. IDK what to tell you. Mine maxed at 488rwhp and I don't know what kind of fp psi tricks my tuner was using or what sct drop down. Did your boost drop when the LT's went on? It might just be that you need a smaller pulley to make up for the better flow.

yes Bruce my boost did drop down to about 10. i lost alot of low end torque. the owner of the shop also gave me the same tune with 1 more degree of timing. the dyno tune timing was at 18 degress. i think i am going to drop the pulley size from 3.375 to 3.25!

Or you could get an Innovators West 10% overdrive balancer. Just a thought.

I would say the overdrive pulley provided it doesn't add too much boost......less belt slip

Bluestang, how does your car feel before and after the long tube headers? Did it feel like it lost power? Do you wish you would have kept your OEM exhaust headers and cats, or did the new headers make your exhaust sound worlds better?

Also, do you think you will outgrow your current power and want more, like so many others in your position has in the past?

Beast! the car sounds so much better with the KOOKS LT 1 3/4" headers and 3" catted h pipe.. i feel like i lost some torque and the dyno sheets between ford tune and dyno tune shows that. there was alot more torque early in the rpm's. i think i am going to the 3.25 pulley to get some back. i got the car dyno'd for the 1st time and headers installed the same day. i was really surprised by the #'s the ford tune gave. i wish i would of had some more time to think if i really wanted to spend all that cash and eventually lose power.

It all depends on what you want to do. An 8 rib iw balancer will cost $400+. It will give you a foundation for a possible 8 rib upgrade in the future and still work fine with a 6 rib belt. It should only give you about 1-1.5psi more than you are currently making. It's sfi rated in case you ever decide to race at a place the rules are enforced and it is a far better balancer than the stock unit IMO.

A new pulley is $140 from Whipple. You may be able to find a used one for significantly less.

IMO the od balancer is the way to go. I suppose that's obvious since I have one.

The FRPP tune kicks ***. Sometimes I wish I would of stopped there and been done with it. I feel like an addict chasing my first high. More and more and it's still not enough.
