Default separator plate ?

When the weather is cold out and I start my car when the car is also cold I keep hearing something that sounds like something is hitting my flywheel... Sure enough I do a quick search and I find a tsb on the separator plate problem. My question is, if I dont get it fixed, will it cause more damage? thanks

Is it like a noise that sounds like a bell, metal on metal?

IF it is seperator plate buzz, no it will not cause any damage. It is a anoying sound I know. When I did my clutch after the "repair" it appears all they do is take the seperator plate and use a punch to create a small crease in it. That makes it so the plate has to be pressed flat when the transmission ins installed and the buzz goes away.

mine does it with the clutch pushed in, or when the clutch is left alone

I think we have a different issue then because the only time mine doesn't do it is when the pedal is pushed in, and it only does it at low RPMs when the clutch is out.
