mid pipe question?
i just ordered an axleback Pypes Pypebomb from AM for my 2006 GT recently and am now thinking about changing up the midpipe to get an even more aggressive sound. my question is, "am i going to run into much trouble if i go with an offroad setup rather than a setup with cats and is it even worth it?"
if anyone has a video that could help that would be great
short side note i know i want a shorty midpipe setup because i am planning on getting long tube headers later on.
thanks for any help guys

shorty midpipe will only fit on the LT's, so you can only install them together.
if you are going that route, you should wait until you do them both at the same time.
with pype bombs, LT's and o/r midpipe, it will be loud. thats for sure.

yea, i thought about it later on last night and realized that i'll have to install both at same time but i know i'll be purchasing the x-pipe first...any suggestions on which shorty x pipe to go with
you should match the mid pipe to the Headers.
like, kooks LT's and kooks midpipe. that way you know it will fit.
brand names that i have found to fit and function the best are:
kooks
American Racing Headers
Mac
BBK
the first 2 are the ***** best and expensive
the last 2 are less expensive
i would stay away from those bargain headers on ebay. they will only give you a headache and come back to haunt you later. they are super cheap for a reason, you get what you pay for.
i have BBK LT's and o/r x pipe. if i had to do it over again, i would go with ARH or Kooks. but Mac is very good as well. and my BBK's went in without a problem and sitll work well 3 years later.
