Anytime my car's engine temp is below optimal (optimal being straight up the middle), it will make a metallicky airy sound when the RPMs go passed 3250. It is only around that area it makes the sound, above and below it, it usually does not. It does not make it when the car is in neutral, only when its in gear and moving.

I thought it could be like a crack in the exhaust...but then again...it does not make the sound when its not in gear. Any advice? I've never been able to get a Ford guy to replicate the sound either...cause the car is hot by the time it gets there and it wont make it.
